... across the horizon to squeals of delight and encouragement for greater speed, copious rosť, mouth watering seafood followed by delectable desserts, cracking vistas across land and sea, reminiscing of days gone by, lots of laughs and lots of love. And a play list that could rival Paris Hilton … wait a minute … ( inside joke).

For all of us it was a great taste of what is to come when we return to Sydney early next ...

          ... 26 August
Left the anchorage mid morning and headed south. We popped into Porto Cervo out of
curiosity – the marina is supposedly one of the most expensive in the world.
Then anchored in cove not too far away which was full of day trippers and mega yachts.
On the way in we passed the Maltese Falcon which is reported to be the 3rd largest sailing vessel in the world.
This anchorage is lovely – beautiful turquoise coloured water.

our destination. I know I say this a lot about the coastlines we pass but the Sardinian coast is something special even from a distance from shore.
We got to the Bonifacio Straights where we had the mountains of Sardinia on the
starboard side and the mountains of Corisca on the port side of us.
The anchorage we chose to stay in only had two other yachts, so quite peaceful ...

... Another quaint town, and very commercialised with lots and lots of cafe's, restaurants and shops, boutiques. There was a huge Ferry as big almost as a cruise ship pulled in from Monaco ( we think) carrying passengers and their cars to the Island for their holiday break.

Went walking at 7am as usual, it's usually very quite in the morning, as last night we were serenaded by a band not far away ...
