Yesterday we took a field trip to the French Alps. It was by far the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and I had one of the best days of my life there! ... found a bakery where I rewarded my success with a "pain au chocolat" and waited until I saw the others return so we could get back on the bus for the two hour ride back.

Let me just take this moment to say thanks to all the good bus drivers out there, especially in France. It just amazes me sometimes how we made it up and down those hairpin turns and parked 1 foot from another bus.

Reaching for my map I discovered that my zip had come open and although the map was still there my ski pass was gone! Bugger! ... with the more experienced one's hitting the black runs with Pierre and the "learners" following Ludo onto the green beginner runs for the first day or two. The snowboard boys got a couple of lessons followed by a lot of falls and then began to really get cracking. Ludo patiently got me "tuned up" again and my turns sharpened up but I was very happy to stick to the slow group as the flu that had visited me at Nature's Vally was coming back with a vengeance.
