Pajo est croate mais vit en Suede depuis 15 ans. Anglais tres limite, alors nous avons echange en allemand. Je ne pensais pas me servir de mon allemand lors de ce voyage, et les debuts ont ete quelque peu fastidieux. Le temps que ca revienne... Je me demandais bien ou il allait me deposee, mais en fait, il prenait le meme ferry que moi, ce qui a facilite bien des demarches !

Day 290 - Driving a Deserted Coast
After a VERY skimpy breakfast (a cold croissant and an espresso) we embarked on a long day of driving up the east coast on the secondary highway. This not only avoided the expensive tolls but allowed us to at least see some of the natural & urban scenery. We needed to cover some distance in order to give us time for our tour around northern Italy.

... cafe`de durduk, 3 yudumluk Italyan kahvesini ictik. Gun yeni aydinlaniyor. Herkes ise gitme telasinda, duraklarda insanlar beklesiyor. Ancona yonune yani ters istikamette yogun trafik var. Etrafi gorelim diye otobana girmedik. Tek gelis tek gidis bir yoldan kiyi kiyi 50 km limitle gidiyoruz. Yol keyifli. Kasabalardan geciyoruz. Gercekten guzel evler var ama abartili degil. No Autostrada...No Tolls

... is time to stop colouring my hair. Thank god Tom has finally sprouted a few greys since being away although he has a long way to go to catch up with me. Seriously though hope all goes well for them.
Wander around Ancona it is really a lovely town and the people are a lot friendlier than Rome which is pleasantly surprising. Even get help from a local in the laundromat on how to operate the machines - instructions are all in Italian of course.
