      ... part of their uniform, is issued a cap. Wearing and looking after this small insignificant items of clothing is huge! One prisoner was raped by a guard and had his cap stolen ... not good.       ... of coughing so had a sleep while Carolyn crossed the lake and took a funicular up to a lookout at the top of a mountain called Harder Klum. A viewing platform jutted out from the mountain and gave fantastic views of the whole of Interlaken and the two lakes Brienzersee and Thunersee joined by a river (on which our hotel was located) as well as views out to the alpine peaks of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.

      We slept in a bit today and did a lot of hiking. We were trying to see some mountain animals, but I think we left too late, because the tourists likely scared them away. But despite no animal sighting, the views were absolutely amazing. On one side there was a huge valley and on the other was the lake and the alps. I didn't realize it but I got pretty sunburned lol.
