... but didn't want to go in. Too expensive. So we headed to the water. We had taken a boat trip on this lake 40 years ago, partly because it was so beautiful and partly because it was free with our Eurail Passes. We asked, and the same was true today. We took that boat and made our way up to the little town of Thun. The weather was clearing now, so we go some great pictures of the Alps...snow-covered peaks. Breathtaking! It was good to ...

The water was a ...

Anyway, check Facebook for tons of pictures. I think I uploaded about 90 ...

... hotel. Everything else was booked for a concert (country of all things). But it is so worth it. We had to take the train into Thun and then take a bus to this other place, then catch an incline rAilway to a cable car (an enclosed ski lift) then walk up to the peak of the Niederhorn to our place. It's so ...

... in the dark, constantly asking for help, clarification, and always a bit of German translation.
The bus we had to catch ended up being very nice, because it took us straight through Lichtenstein and that was interesting--being able to cross through the girth of a country in ~10 minutes!
After a few more sub 5 minute necessary train transfers and a few more grey hairs earned in our futures, we finally arrived in ...
