The bus took us out of the city and onto the new highway. Petra said that many locals still use the old highway even if it's less convenient because they have to pay 220 kunas (30 euros) each way on the new one, and with gas also being expensive this takes quite a toll on them. Off to Korcula tomorrow.

    More soon,

Or, join an optional tour to nearby Krka Falls, a series of spectacular cascading waterfalls that comprises one of Croatia’s true natural wonders. Over millennia, the Krka River has carved canyons into the surrounding limestone of the Dinara Mountains, creating a spectacular landscape where you’ll view the river’s waterfalls cascading over and around lush, ...

... forced stop over with a tour of Frankfurt historic city centre and a river cruise which was not quite what we were expecting but gave us a good insight into the relaxed atmosphere and lifestyle of the city. We returned to the hotel for a great meal provided by the airline and retired early expecting to resume our journey to Hong Kong at 1.50 PM which required us to be checked shortly after 10.30 ...
