Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria dinoshona... road soon started climbing along wooded hillsides. It was 10.15 am. The road wasn't quite too steep to ride but it was a bottom gear grind with constant pushing on the pedals. The road wound on and on; occasionally a truck would crawl past and I'd listen to see if it's engine note speeded up. It usually just continued grinding into the distance.<br>This was very hot work and my shirt was soaked and my face was dripping with sweat. I was down to taking a break ...

At 11pm the bells rang out into the night to call the monks to mass, and some of the group rang in Easter with a candle-light ceremony in the chapel, but I was tucked away in bed by this point!

You hear me? I was in Bulgaria! Some may argue that I wasn't in Bulgaria, that I was just on a train going through Bulgaria, well then, how do you explain the two passport stamps from Bulgaria in my passport? You like dem apples! Anyways, I got ...
