... of Varna with my new Irish friends. The stories will be pretty amazing. I can already feel it.
Lastly - on a side note, there is another pure distinction that I am not in the United States. . Like coca cola machines, there are instant cappuccino/ espresso machines that give you a cup of coffee for about 30 cents. In the finest restaurants in all of America, I have never had a better espresso!

... osim sto sam usavrsio bugarski jezik. Posla nema, samim tim nema ni para. Ok, onda sam odlucio da iskoristim slobodno vreme... Izlasci, upoznavanje... nesto sto nikada ne moze da dosadi. Plaza, more, Sunce i zabava. Odlican nacin da se iskoristi slobodno vreme.
Napokon da se zavrsilo ovo leto. Postalo je malo monotono...

... car at a parking station and walk up to our hotel to check in and then to bring the car up. This was all easier said than done but finally after backing up a narrow road, passing the old lady in the chair twice and asking for directions at the mini-market finally found the hotel again. All worthwhile as the hotel is luxurious and right in the centre of the old town. They also upgraded us to a balcony room which overlooks the old John the Baptist church and the ruins of the ...
Nessebar, Burgas, Bulgaria souter... lifts have to work hard and are a bit creaky. The room however has a fully functioning bathroom and aircon. I shower and switch it on. Its 30 degree's cooling in the room than out and I sleep for a couple of hours. The room is on the seventh floor and is one of the tallest buildings in the town. So I can see my route into town and the weather from the room. The room doesn't have wallpaper; its a sort of painted woodchip concrete. The doors to the ...
Burgas, Bulgaria i_could_walk... coastline. Back into the town you get to another of the major sites, the church of Pantocrator. This site is located in a pretty, picturesque squares near to a open air market. Although Nessebar is a nice town to spend a few hours and makes a change from the commercialism of the rest of the Black Sea coast, there was little else to see after this so after a bite to eat I caught the ferry back to Sunny Beach.
Nessebar, Burgas, Bulgaria gfleming... the top which went down a treat but the mustard was a step too far. Bought drinks at the supermarket to take with us to the outside cinema to watch The Dark Knight with Cyrillic subtitles. I bought a **** load of popcorn and with my 1.25L sprite made for a pretty good meal deal! Very late start. Greg went for a run but my back was still sore from the great rollerblading accident so instead I walked just about the whole island to find milk and ...
Sozopol, Bulgaria leahandgregBurgas was hosting the first ever MTV Spirit of Burgas festival with Groove Armada, Koseen, Ministry of Sound etc. It was situated on the beach, had an electric atmosphere, great music and was bouncing! All for £20 as well. If you happen to see the festival on MTV you will probably see me & G. Aside from the festival there is nothing happening in Burgas.
Burgas, Burgas, Bulgaria stevewadeSunny Beach is a holiday resort on the coast of Bulgaria. It's basically sunbathe all day and booze all night. Lots of British, Sweedish, Norwegian, Dutch and German tourists. Not the nicest place in the world but good for a chill out and a few nights on the lash.
Sunny Beach, Bulgaria stevewade... no further, road head "gone". Of course I ignored them all. So, lo and behold the road got narrower and narrower, with more trees growing in the tarmac until, sob, it simply disappeared. Some friendly guys grazing their pigs directed me to a dirt track that really was off road. cobbles, rocks and mud. A medieval farm forsest track. uphill. I put on my helmet and was very glad I was on my mountain (as opposed to roadie) bike ...
Burgas, Burgas, Bulgaria springy100Velki Preslav to Burgas Distance 162km Best bit: sun Worst bit: having to throw myself into the gutter 5 times today to avoid oncoming traffic!! Well, the Black Sea isnt black. Its kind of a rich blue with gentle waves. The sand feels good under my feet :)
