... easily. This means we did an average of about 5.2 knots, though there were times when we went a lot slower but also times when we went a LOT faster. Now I know that Sharkita is a relatively old cruising boat weighed down by all Si’s engineering tools as well as enough food for a good 3 months but I do wonder if Sharkita knows this? Underneath her solid slow ketch rig l am sure lurks the heart of an Open Ocean 60 racer – well that’s what it felt like as the log/speedo ...
Playa Francesca, Canary Islands, Spain sharkita... lovely community.
Martin and Doreen joined us for a sail aboard Tethys and a swim off Papagayo beach. Then we had a lunch aboard before returning to the marina just before the sun set! A lovely day.

... cut through the water. Hopefully when we actually cross the Atlantic I will be able to appreciate these things properly after the sickness has passed (fingers and everything else crossed).
Nic did amazingly well and stayed up on deck all night with Paul as everyone else was too sick to do their watches. As bad as it was it suprisingly didn´t ever cross my mind that I would pull out of the trip, so hopefully I will get through it and ...
Arrived at Playa Blanca after a twenty minute ride from the airport at about 9.30. Atlantic Garden Bungalows were very nice and peaceful right on the shore and clean and lovely.

A STROLL IN THE CITY AND THE CENTRAL BEACHES
There are clouds in the sky today, and I don't feel like going swimming.
It is a day of taking photos!
The stroll is great because there is a sea breeze that makes my walk pleasant.
... We had a green ribbon round our wrist which was the sign of –all inclusive. I could see people eating without a ribbon though!
I was curious to see the kind of quality the hotel would have, as well as the quantity. I was surprised indeed!
It included everything for everyone's taste.
There was fish and meat, pizza, different fruit, desserts, ice cream, -- anything a person ...
POLSKI: No to kurs w strone AFRYKI. Mimo, iz Wyspy Kanaryjskie leza blizej Afryki, niz Europy, wciaz naleza do Hiszpanii. To byla moja pierwsza wizyta w tej czesci globu.
