... hot... we finally made it to the pool and it was sooooooooooo nice. It was packed but nice - as soon as we hit the water the world was right again. We were at normal body temp now. So we soaked like hippos for a while and then decided we had to go to local town as needed some cash. So we all got out and instantly the heat hit us again and as we started to dry off the heat got more and more intense. Anyway we managed to get ready for our 2K walk again another round ...

... a fish I could hear her excitement. Its funny that both of them try and talk with the snorkel in their mouth as if they can be understood. Anyway Lily loved it and by the end of the day was happily snorkelling by herself, floating on the boogie board and swimming around. The twins were quite happy mostly just playing around but at one stage we did kit them up and take them out on the board but they were happy just to be pulled ...

... than France standards but a palace compared to Spain's 'cattle' pitches. We could actually put up the tent today and revelled in the extra space. The swimming pool is best one so far for me warmed to 29 degrees and with jacuzzi and in pool showers, water slides and sun loungers with big cushion tops (bliss). The best thing is there was about 2 other people in pool. In Spain the pools seemed to be packed. The campsite also has 3 private beaches which ...

... very undesirables were about outside on the edge of the car park. I would not like to go there on a regular basis. Mind you from our third floor window not long along we watched four policemen, on bikes, give two very likely lads quite an inspection.There seems to be some interesting things to do in this area so we will reassess what we will do after we head to Villefranche De Conflent tomorrow. Feel as if we are back travelling again.xx

We woke to brilliant sunshine, had breakfast and got on our way towards Spain. We were determined to hit Spain today so we pushed caution to the wind and headed to the toll road. Not before negotiating that weird exit from Peyre that takes a three point turn to get out!

There was loads to see along the route. Random curiosities along the side of the road and ruins perched atop hills, which I thought must be monasteries or something religous because many had crosses. ...
