I was able to pass on some information from my time in Russia last year and we had a good time talking about travelling and what not. We even got to see a couple of young girls dressed up as witches. That was the end of my first day and it was great but I was most looking forward to the next day when I would be off to watch the hockey.

As the world's longest day one of any holiday ever drags on, with a further 8 hour flight and then a whole afternoon in Osaka still to come, we find ourselves in Helsinki where, for the past six hours, it's felt like a marginally slow six episodes of Keifer Sutherland comedy 24. Over the past week or two, I've started the Quixotic task of learning Finnish. As I've mentioned, this is a hard and very different language from English, Spanish, and indeed all the Indo-European languages. We were the last to transfer from the ship today leaving at 4pm, so we had some time to reflect on our time in Russia. ... me. Around noon we walk to the city centre of Vantaa. A typical Finnish town. We meet Pia at work, then we get Jasmin and go out for lunch. The rest of the day just goes by. In the evening the girls go to a club. I'm much too tired for this so I stay at home and play with Pia's X-Box and enjoy satellite TV. Before the girls leave, I have to take pictures of their party outfits.
