I liked Florence so much the first time I went, I came back! I realized in August that I loved this city and that I didn't have enough time to spend here, so I decided I wanted to go back to enjoy the slower moving life of Florence.
The first day we got to Florence, Katy and I went straight to the leather market. I had been eagerly waiting the entire semester to buy a new purse, and I knew I had seen several I really liked in Florence, so I had made ...
... Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing, Potatoes, and Mixed Vegetables. For dessert pumpkin pie, ice cream, and apple cider! It was nice to spend the night with classmates and a few professors.
Friday night, we had yet another Thanksgiving with all of my friends. Everyone prepared their favorite dish and we spent the night telling stories of our families Thanksgivings.

Florence, Tuscany, Italy frdrick... all the other hotels/apartments that they've tried to turn into a "hostel" by simply throwing some bunk beds into existing hotel sized bedrooms.
Wandered around Florence which is a beautiful city and great to just wander around - apart from there being more US exchange students there than locals.
Found Mostodolce brewpub and tried their beers. First decent beer I've had since entering Italy.
The Pils was a bit average but the ...
Hi Everyone!
After an exhausting weekend in Brussels, I was in for yet another treat with cooking classes in Florence. Organized by my school, a group of us met with a chef for some lessons.
We were taught how to prepare typical Tuscan cuisine including Ribollita and Stuffed zucchini-flowers.
Everything was delicious & I look forward to trying these recipes at home!

... and they're the ones with the least protection. If I were pedaling on the side of a busy road that is known for its crazy drivers, I would definitely want at least something strapped to my head, even though if I got hit I'd be as good as dead anyway. But we all know that I would never get on a bike in the first place, so it's kind of a moot point.

Italy is so nice!! and the food! don't even get me started on the food here!!! we've eaten well every single night in italy. and ended almost every night with some gelato!! After we left Nice (after some amazing Canyoning...which I'm not sure if i mentioned in the last blog or not. but basically we spent a day climbing down waterfalls, and jumping off cliffs and sliding into the river over the rocks! So so fun, but we were all a little sore the following day!) so anyway. after Nice, we ...
Florence, Tuscany, Italy linds_eryn... was there, along with lovely Laura, and we said our goodbyes then and there. Sorrento called in to the restaurant where we had the CAPA welcome dinner for us to have our last, Meat Locker lunch. When we got there, a little sad from leaving CAPA for the last time together, we rediscovered how funny and energetic the staff was at this place. We had an expensive, but delicious meal. From there we headed to the Boboli Gardens behind the Palazzo Pitti. It was hot. I mean first ...
Florence, Italy jerryruthWe've had bad luck with weather here in Italy so far, so it should have come as no surprise that it has rained and thundered most of our two days here in Florence. To be fair to Florence, though, it is a great place for being inside since there are some spectacular art galleries and museums, and luckily for us we arrived to sunshine on our long walk from the train terminal to our hostel. Our first afternoon we made the most of the sunshine and wandered the ...
