Tuesday Florence

A waiting around kind of day. Our train didn't depart till 1:40 so we delayed our departure as late as possible. Took the local train across the bridge to Mestre, and walked for several hours, buying coffee for morning tea in the process. ... and the writer of the Divine Comedy. Come ON!! I geeked out a bit. Not to mention, the cathedral itself was stunning, as we the cloisters and courtyard outside. We headed back to the apartment and Mom cooked us a fantastic pot roast with potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions, and a salad.
