... The creaky wooden floors, lack of curtains in our room, intermittent WiFi and long walk to the (far too small) bathrooms were frustrating but we liked the place enough to stay a few nights and offer our advice on how to improve it before we left. We like to think we know what makes a good hostel now...

Given that Thai people generally run on a time schedule of their own we only gave ourselves half an hour to get ready before our designated pick up time. After a choppy ride we got back to the pier at about 5pm; we went and got a smoothie, Scott had Oreo and I had fresh blueberries! We dodged the cafe by walking through the night market to our hotel, and we narrowly missed getting wet by people wih tubs of water on the back of their trucks. It's thai new year, Songkran ...

Today we got up early once again, but it was good since we had a big day planned. We went by longboat to Railay Beach. This is the beach with the giant rock formations that to me kind of signify Thailand. We got over to Railay in about 15 minutes by boat and had breakfast at a cute little outdoor hut right on the beach. I tried the Thai omlet. It was good besides the peas they put in it. I am not picky at all when it comes to food, ...
