... der City Circle tram erkundet. Danach gings auf nach St. Kilda. Ein kleines nettes Doerfschen unterhalb von Melbourne mit einer recht netten Strandpromenade. Natuerlich noch ein Abstecher ins Meer und ein wenig durch St. Kilda gelaufen. Auf dem Rueckweg habe ich dann noch einen Zwischenstop am Melbourne Park gemacht wo ja zur Zeit die Australien Open statt finden. Heute gehts dann frueh (hoffe ich zumindest) ins Bett da es Morgen bereits ab 0615 auf den Weg zur Great Ocean Road geht.

Friday 19th December No such luck for a sleep-in, between the ferry horn and the rooster on my porch. Head down for breakfast (banana pancake and tea) and eat with Horst, Eva and Bud. ... Ich spreche vom anfaenglichen HickHack mit unseren handy-Sim Karten. Aber genug davon! Untergebracht waren wir fuer die ersten 3 Tage dann im Greenhouse Backpacker Hostel, dass ziemlich zentral in Melbourne liegt. Ausstattung, Kueche und Toilettchen sind ok, aber nicht gerade hervorragend. Gut war jedoch, dass somit die ersten 3 Tage unterkunfttechnisch gesichert waren. Somit konnte unsre Down Under Tour jetz offiziell beginnen.....
