This hotel was a good choice because it was ideally situated, in particular within easy walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and shops selling fruit, crepes, pizza, etc. Our room was lovely and the bathroom excellent. The breakfast had everything we wished for.

... we stayed in is a great (more affordable) shopping area. I was so tempted to buy clothes/shoes/everything and then I would always remember that I still have to carry what I buy for another month in my backpack. Decision made - haha. I can't forget to mention, one day when we were strolling the shopping streets, we came across some people outside a Nike store like there was an event. We found out none other than Kevin Durant was making an appearance! Of ...

... top. The crowds had died down as the sun set and we were able to get some great photos of the Tour Eiffel and triangulate where we were in the city. By the time we had descended the stairs we were pretty dizzy with fatigue as we jumped on the metro. It should be noted that we really jam a ton of stuff into one day and you might not want to follow in our direct footsteps unless you are interested in testing your limits or just a little crazy. ...

... tonight. We are all on different schedules but managing to see and do things without too much difficulty.

Food has been an issue in the past 24 hrs but there are so many little shops in our neighbourhood we have managed to now stock up on some supplies. GF has been a major issue this trip and we are seeing signs of gluten madness. We have been told by a Parisian in Victoria that the wheat here ...

Our lunch in cafe de l'Opera is a welcome warm spot .. Bit too chilly to sit outside in the shade!
Meals / shopping in Paris seem to be the same price but in euros not dollars.. Aus$ 30 Euro €30.. Not so good for us tourists.. Here the €5 for a coffee is Aus $7 approx..ouch!

Our evening in Paris has been absolutely amazing.. Through France tourism web site we had ore booked an evening "night lights" tour followed by the ...

... to get lunch at the burger place pointed out to us by the apartments owner. A simple hamburger with fries cost a colossal €14 so Issy and I halved one and we all agreed to get something more to eat from the bakery and fromagerie afterwards. After we bought our supplies from the cute shops up the road from our apartment we got on the train (which had a very long swirling staircase) to the Eiffel tower. Walking underneath the tower really made us appreciate it's sheer size, ...
