... very patient with other people in the car. Anyway we got there. The weather was not ideal for much exploring but did a quick look around and had lunch then onto Vaals. ... from the southern part of Luxembourg all the way to the northern part. It's only about 90 miles total to give you an idea about how small this place is compared to Texas. Great scenery and I really enjoyed the trip.

Next we walked down the street and saw the Notre Dame Cathedral which is very beautiful and Sophie said the Duke of Luxembourg got married there. Behind the Cathedral was a side street that took us to a square that had the Grand Duke’s Palace.
Outside the Palace there was a small demonstration with people talking on microphones ...
We loved walking around Luxembourg City. Americans think something 200 years old is old....Luxembourg City was established in the 7th century. Mind-boggling! Viaducts seem to be built upon solid rock and the view down was dizzily beautiful. There's a great walking path at the ridge of the cliffs. We were there on a Sunday so a lot of families were out strolling; taking in the nice weather and the view. The city center had what my grandmother would call, a rummage sale. ...
