Well, look at that, where did I go?
Left work on Friday in Bendigo
          Turned up today in Guangzhou
And they do rhyme, just so you know

Rubbish poetry aside (relevant quote from "The Big Short" that I watched on the plane on Saturday - "The truth is like poetry. Everybody f*$%!ng hates it."), it seemed appropriate to update …

This evening's concert was most definitely the musical highlight of the tour. The Opera House as you will have seen in yesterday's post was beautiful and worthy of its significant reputation. The audiences here are clearly knowledgeable and responded in an unfailingly positive way to our programme.

The acoustic in the Opera House is the most live that the band has played in, so much so that we had to move out of ...

Tomorrow’s concert is at the spectacular Guangzhou Opera House. I have included a couple of photos I found online so you can see what we’re going to be in for.

Just over a week left...looking forward to our final 2 concerts in China.

... ve been surprised. Starting with school food, I’m fortunate in
as much the free meals at school saves my wallet the pains of dining out. Whereas
the food itself, is in fact edible served with lots of vegetables and rice. The
caveat however usually has to do with the meat. In a ratio of say 4:1, the meal
is fine and I’ll eat everything. But that one time when there is a surprise, you
end up just shaking your head. For example, last Wednesday ...

... is so different. I’ll start by saying American Chinese food is a far cry from real Chinese food. I’ll also go on record on how blessed I am that the food here in the south is mostly sea food and mild, whilst up north, describing the food as extremely spicy would be an understatement. The one occasion I did try some northern food, I thought I burned my kidneys to ash.

More on the southern food, I am surprised how much vegetables people eat here. I feel ...
