Great location right in the middle of Broadbeach and surrounded by some very good bars and restaurants including Koi (where I had a late lunch of duck pancakes and Moroccan lamb) and Moo Moos which is right across the road from the hotel. Kurrawa Surf Life Savers Club and the beach is just a 5 minute walk away, and the lovely Cascade Park about 10 minutes walk. Rooms are comfortable and my balcony looked south over the beach and the water even though I didn't upgrade to an ocean view.

We stopped by to see the Moores. Steve said Pam wanted for all of us to go out to eat at an Italian restaurant for supper. Pam arranged to pick all of us up with a Maxi Taxi and went to the hotel Soffitel. The Mario restaurant was pretty busy. It must be a very popular restaurant. I went up to Queensland the other day to escape the cold Melbourne weather. It was raining when we arrived which made me think 'Why did I come here?'. The next two days were nice and sunny.

... more so than we needed plumbing - it was grim!

During the delay, Tiger Airways were grounded, this led to the job in Cairns disappearing! The boss had concerns of the lack of tourism and knew that head office really wanted to keep Fabio here and asked us to stay here for at least three months! And just like that, our plans did an about turn.

We had already purchased the Theme Park passes valid for a year ...

... paying an arm and a leg to see the school nurse, I was pleasantly surprised that it only cost me 5 bones, even after being referred to the big Doc himself. The nice man and I had a good laugh about cultural differences (Yes, with a few lovely wheezing fits), prescribed me some quality meds and I’m feeling a heap of a lot better than I was, and just in time for this weekend’s Surf trip.
