Great location right in the middle of Broadbeach and surrounded by some very good bars and restaurants including Koi (where I had a late lunch of duck pancakes and Moroccan lamb) and Moo Moos which is right across the road from the hotel. Kurrawa Surf Life Savers Club and the beach is just a 5 minute walk away, and the lovely Cascade Park about 10 minutes walk. Rooms are comfortable and my balcony looked south over the beach and the water even though I didn't upgrade to an ocean view.

... The river was like glass and reflected the fading sun but alas no place to pull over and take a photo. Soon we were on the Pacific Highway – only about 30 mins or so to Qld now.
We turned off the Pacific Highway / Pacific Motorway at the Tugan sign because I wasn’t sure which exit we needed to take for our accommodation so we then took the long way around which we knew.

So, we rarely go swimming whilst at home and, although we often visit the beach with Nelly, we never don our swimming costumes. However, we both LOVE water parks. One of the main reasons we visited the Gold Coast was so we could visit 'Wet n Wild'. It may surprise many that for someone who can't swim, dislikes crowds and has a bad ...

We set off on the walk, which started a few hundred metres up from our campground at another resort and made our way into the rainforest. For some reason we had expected better things from this circuit given the great review the Aussie guy had given us, but we were a little disappointed. It was very nice and wound its way through the rainforest and over streams, but I think it had gotten to the point where we were getting ...
... keep your eyes peeled all around the boat as he could pop up anywhere!". Unfortunately after a lot of chasing we didn't see any whales and were very relieved to get back into calmer waters. One poor woman had been on her back throwing up almost as soon as she steeped on the boat and was still throwing up once we got off. After an alright day we then caught our bus to Brisbane to see Rav and Liz!
