    ... do occur to punctuate the solitude, often idiosyncratic in their nature (today on the bus, I had discussions on Welsh accents, Andalucian agriculture and aggressive German hikers with a retired crown prosecution lawyer from Newport). But generally speaking, it's just you, your itinerary and your thoughts, which at risk of sounding like an anti-social old git, is suiting me just fine for now.

    Next time I write, I hope to be in Athens...
