... would definitely love to come back and spend some time here. Perhaps one day we could stay here for a month or so in a self contained apartment, just out of peak season and experience living here and exploring the islands nearby… another one for the bucket list!! Our ship left Mykonos early in the afternoon and will now make its way to Istanbul, Turkey where we will arrive early tomorrow ...
The stop in Mykonos was uneventful and pretty relaxing. OK meal in a local joint and the streets are famous for being a maze which has a sort of charm. We didn't have lovely weather but just a bit overcast and windy.
All in all, an OK place but we much preferred Santorini.
... my favorites were Disco 69 and Orange Bar. Slammer Bar was also really fun, if you buy a slammer shot you get given a helmet and the bar tender 'slams' you over the head with a fire hydrant, his foot, a chair... Basically anything he feels like. At Flames Bar there is face painting, which is always a fun idea when your drunk but you regret it the next morning when you wake up with smudged paint all over your face and pillow.
