Today we visited the fort and caves at Maastricht in Netherlands but as we were passing the Lindt factory seconds shop in Aachen we had to stop and shop. Lot's of chocolates available that we don't see in Australia, we have nearly demolished the block of dark chocolate with pomegranate and chili. Only a couple of weeks ago I got informed about a volunteer position onboard the Africa Mercy, i.e. as a Media Liaison Officer. After having discussed this situation with my current employer, I decided to go for it! After the selection procedure, I got the official letter of acceptance: I would serve on the Africa Mercy from Jan - June. A new year, a new adventure!
I only had one month to get everything sorted ...

... The only downside was that there is nothing to do other than see bands on the site, maybe we are just a bit spoilt from glastonbury's endless amount of things to see and do. But with the acts going on late into the night and the site being small enough to wander to and from the tent, it wasn't really a problem. I think we all agreed that we would want to come back here one year. So if you fancy something a bit different the id say give rock werchter a go!
