Only a couple of weeks ago I got informed about a volunteer position onboard the Africa Mercy, i.e. as a Media Liaison Officer. After having discussed this situation with my current employer, I decided to go for it! After the selection procedure, I got the official letter of acceptance: I would serve on the Africa Mercy from Jan - June. A new year, a new adventure!

I only had one month to get everything sorted ...

We spent sometime looking around and the boys went to see a band. But the sun's powerful rays had fried our brains and we had to head back to the tent to get some shade. On the walk back to the campsite, we came across a carrefore van which had a beautiful fridge section that we stuck our heads in for a bit.
