... and Palm trees, and, children playing full of joy, on the paved promenade, the sea air so brisque and prominent, the rotun d looking cordian player bellowing his sounds across the air waves, the smell of roasted corn on the cob drifts across the night time air.its homely, and its safe here.

... I got today from a friend about this country-church here is that the church is built above the ruins of an older temple that was destroyed by the Saracens.
Many times it suffered damages from fires because of the lighted candles that the visitors leave. With the occasional repairs the hagiographies that adorned the country-church were covered.
Virgin Mary is known with the double name of " Vines" from ...

NOTE:
I received an e mail from a Turk friend this morning after this entry, who wanted to remind me that those days of the War, these Turk-Cypriots suffered as much, even more than Cypriots..

Life was peaceful, and almost every weekend we were out. Even in the afternoons of weekdays most of the time we were out in the fields. Picking snails on a rainy day, wild asparagus ,or mushrooms, having long walks in the fields, were some of the activities we had those days.. We grew up learning to love nature, plants and ...
... shut the door and ran away a better man !!! Next door was a fort built by the Ottomen. It was ok but not much there really, but for €1.71, you can't really complain about the price. I walked in, had a look, and then walked out and over to the Agios Lazaros. It's a nice church both inside and out. Apparently, old Laz use to preach here and then actually died here, so he was buried here, (pretty obvious really !!!) but not for long, as he went to Istanbul and then to ...
Larnaca, Cyprus uncle_davros... at a restaurant to fill my water bottles and confirmed my fears that the main road construction is entering its next stage to continue along this route, changing the coastline forever - not for the good of the tourist but for those how wish to buy retirement homes with a sea view and 20 minute drive to Grine (Kryena). Many plots of land had already been sold and the march along the coast continues. Then a ...
