      Great choice for our one night stay. Warm, cosy room with a great powerful shower to wake us up in the morning.

      Winter Park is a large ski resort in the Rocky Mountains, just a 2 hour train ride from Denver. The train makes it easy to get to and you can stay in the town of Fraser or at the resort itself (15 minutes up the road). Fraser is much cheaper than staying at the resort and with a free shuttle on the half hour both are good options.       ... shiny anf full of condos at least I could not see them in Aspen. Once past Aspen I got on the Independence Pass road a narrow two lane road with no trucks allowed.
