Anyway she told us about the taxies (who charged us $100 for a fifteen min ride, plus his credit card reader was broken so he drove us to an atm where I had to get out. Woke up at 7 and had a shower and packed most of my stuff. Also changed my train which cost £40. Then I started to make pancakes as everyone started to wake up. Turns out they didn't have a spatula so had to turn mixture into piklets and make them small.

I'm a broken man when I get home from yet another bout of Glastonbury craziness so Coman's announcement, upon entering the house, that he's taken a few days off this very weekend and we should go away means I don't know whether to leap for joy or slump in an exhausted pile on the floor.

There's talk of Greece, Spain and Morocco, even a weekend break in Scandinavia, but unenthused by the idea of airports, and aware that the weather over the next week is heatwave-tastic ...
