    ... Gothic is a biological research laboratory in the Elk Mountains. Gothic was a neat town. Lots of research buildings and cabins. One store which sold ice cream and snacks.

    After walking through the sanctuary, Sheila and I headed back downtown to look at the shops - we didn't buy anything - all the stores were pretty high classed. Before leaving Aspen, we drove to the Ashcroft Ghost Town. In its heyday, this town was bigger than Aspen. Now it is a series of log cabin buildings. You can only imagine what life was in the town.
