Maybe a Chisholm student would have offered? Today the rain has fallen all day. We bused to Spitall and used the wifi at the Schloss Cafe. My laptop would not work properly! Lucky the iPads allowed us to book rail tickets for next week and catchup on mail etc. we also organised a taxi to take us to the station ...

At several points it was barely paved and shrank down to a single lane for both directions as it snaked through the countryside and eventually the woods. So here we are, getting set for our 2014 Balkan Adventure. After 2 days of ferocious packing and cleaning, as we vacate what has been our Reception, Bar and Restaurant for the last six and a half years, we have collapsed in a heap pending some last minute personal packing and 'making ourselves look beautiful' preparations - so much to do, so little time!

      As some ...

... out to hike the Alps in the beautiful sunshine. (There were a myriad of hiking trails in the area.)

Once we reached the “middle” station, Cheryl and I had 15 minute hike straight up to Eishohle to see the caves. Fortunately, the hike involved a series of back and forth switchbacks making it a little easier, however, in the thinner air it was a pretty rough hike up. However, with the beautiful clear blue sky, the hike was absolutely spectacular. And the ...
