1. I try to open the wrong car for the umpteenth time on this trip and realize there are way too many grey Fiat Pandas on this island. 2. I go on a beautiful trek in the astounding Gorroppu canyon (500 m deep) and realize while my right leg is (and has been for some time) shot when going up, my left one starts failing me at the knee on descents. Marvelous. 3. I get caught in the rain on the trek back and spend the rest of the day in ...

We leave here tomorrow, flying to the mainland the day after. Not sure about where to head next yet. Apparently there is no consensus on what a nuraghe is - either a castle, fort or even a building for religious purposes. ...

... siesta and set us up to drive off in a beastly Fiat Panda.

Our apartment is in Orosei, a small old town on the eastern coast. We will be staying here for a week to recharge the batteries, learn a little Italian and just enjoy Sardinia. If yesterdays gnochetti and pizza dinner is any indication of the quality of food here, this weeks' eats will be LE GEN DA RY!
