    My Favorite Fiji Hotel

Of the three Fiji hotels that I booked in advance, Smugglers Cove was my favorite. My room was clean and comfortable with brightly painted wall shelving and cabinets. Free wi-fi was available in the lobby and restaurant. It was brighter and livelier than the other two. The restaurant faced the beach and the food was good. On the downside, their included breakfast was adequate but not exciting and they didn't have free transport back to the airport. Plus, it was harder to get around since they were off the main road. There was a free shuttle but it only ran so often. I would have likely to stay here longer though.

    Great Experience

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the 34 bed dorm and it was pretty much how I had expected it to be. Cheap but comfortable. The room was clean and I had access to all necessary facilities like hot showers, 24hr internet (fees apply), complimentary breakfast, a bar and restaurant, swimming pool, the beach, cash machine, shop, evening entertainment and even received a free scuba diving lesson during my stay which was an awesome extra! I definitely think it was well worth the money and would go back next time I am in Nadi! Vinaka!

I'm currently sitting on a hammock at smugglers cove in Nadi, and watching the beautiful sunset! This will be the last time I get to enjoy this for a long time, so I'm enjoying every moment! We have one more night here at Smugglers cove, and leave tomorrow morning at 7 am to catch our 10 am flight to Auckland. We arrived here last night at around 7 …

I am quite happy with my room here - it is clean and bright and the shelving in the room works very well for my needs. There is a safe (that works) and refrigerator. The bathroom could use a bit more shelf space. It turns out that there is free wi-fi in the hallway from the reception to the end of the restaurant. So after I took my pill that …

Another Slow Day in Honiara - Late Arrival in Fiji

International Women's Day in being celebrated in Honiara with many speeches by men, music provided by male singers and musicians (as far as I can tell from my room at the King Solomon Hotel) and information booths, mostly on stopping violence to women.

I went through my usual morning routine, asked about a late check-out and then …

I've now come to appreciate that Fiji is such a beautiful place, I'm on the main island staying in Nadi at the moment, then off to Robinson Crusoe island tomorrow for 4nights which should be nice! The Fijians put on a dancing with fire show last night which was …
