I'm now back in Nadi after having spent a very lazy 12 days on 6 different islands. I arrived in Nadi last Friday evening and had a lovely surprise of having my own room and bathroom!!! My STA travel guy had booked it when I organised my trip but I'd completely forgotten!! It was lovely, but having shared a room with lots of other people for 4 months it was a bit strange!! So, today is my last day in Fiji! Am back in Nadi for the third and final time before flying to New Zealand tomorrow! I've had the most amazing time on Vorovoro over the past two and a half weeks...fell in love with the place!

I was very relieved to arrive on the island after a very long and rather daunting journey so made a big note to myself in my diary not to do the same journey on the way back...so took the easier and much quicker option of flying here today! I don't really know...

Well its been a week since i arrived in fiji and ive had a very soothing time here,we arrived on the 3rd of may a day after my birthday,we checked in to the hostel called smugglers cavern i think,(probaly wrong name) and got settled in,we stayed on the mainland 1st night in the capital nadi that is pronounced nandi! nice hostel right alongside the beach,even though the beach wasnt the nicest ive been to,i was expecting a really beautiful sandy beach with clear waters but that wasnt the case! ...

hey guys, i have just arrved into Fiji -it is so nie and hot compared to Christchurch which was freezing for the day that I was there. Was feeling terrible when i arrived (a tip to all -NEVER fly after a 12 hr drinking session!! it is possibly the worst feeling ever! haha) especially as I had to leave so many awesome people back in Sydney. Hey We have just finished the Feejee experience which was really good fun. WE had an awesome driver and tour guide and although we travelled just around teh main island of Viti LEvu and not some of the smaller more beautiful ones, we learnt alot about the culture and got to really experience life as a Fijian - and I have to say that it would be pretty cool! I highly recommend Fiji for any beach loving budget traveller. Super backpacker friendly transportation and accomodation infracstructure. Island hopping in the Mamanucas and Yasawas will not disappoint!
