Went to see 'Aladdin' at the 'Opera House' in Manchester this evening. Borrowing 2 unsuspecting children for cover, we went to see a typical Panto. With bright and elaborate costumes, corny jokes that appeal to kids and adults it was an absolute scream. Best ...

Geoff – The school, apart from music, could not be any more different than any other school you could imagine. Unique is not really the best description. An amazing focus on music; many unique characters, both staff and students, who add to the, sometimes bizarre, events at the school. It has been a challenge to adopt a new curriculum for 4 year levels. My largest class is 15 students so ...

There are things one cannot get used to and that is the poverty, the size of the population and the many differences there are between Western and Indian Sub-Continent cultures. Most are welcome and liberating some are not but with every visit we learn more.... We may visit again in April just before our Visa's expire and going forward look towards Nepal, Tibet and the Punjab and that fantastic Golden Temple - who knows -
it's only a plane ride away..............
... the gorge up the gorge” debacle followed by kilometres of what, bog? on top of a mountain?!! where the hell were we?!! Also, damn the reservoir where, having run out of water, Ryan requested that I wade in and try and get some water for boiling. Cold! Muddy! Undrinkable! Squidgy!

"Over the boulder, down the boulder, **** the boulder, **** THE BOULDER!!!"
There are some points where the paths are naturally made of boulders or large rocks, fine I'm on a mountain I get it. However one day we hit some hard going with a path covered in boulders which, after about twenty minutes, I noticed there weren’t any boulders OFF the path, only on it. A neat line of ******, leg-twisting boulders was ...
... raining still!
It has been a bit of a blur today, as well as the Royal Marsden we have been to Addenbrookes in Cambridge, THe Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham and now I am sitting in a cosy front room in Sheffield with a real fire!
I am excited about tomorrow as we will be going back to my home town of Newcastle. Yippee!!
I have taken a few pictures of the day.
... small xmas decorations but felt it was in a way my farewell to Brum even if the irony of that is that it was at a German xmas market.
Friday was on my own in the morning at work which was peaceful after the manic nature of Thurs morning (4 physios and 2 assistants plus admin around). Cruised through the morning and headed off for McDonalds for lunch with some colleagues. My afternoon consisted of last minute discharges, paperwork ...
This is just to get the ball rolling as it were.
Our aim is to have a life laundry over the next few months. Plan our year long trip through Europe. Sell or pass on to others things we need. Buy and equip a motor home. Produce a photo/video documentary of the trip.
... appeared to really not want to be there - or for us to be there either! He could not get the idea it would be better to tell us what was not available in advance rather than after we ordered. We looked around the museum, which was built in an old warehouse. It gave a brief but very clear explanation of the development of the area, including the logic behind the development of the canals, which served as the ...
Oldham, England, United Kingdom julians26... you mind allowing this silly American who you've never met before and don't know if he's some sort of felon to take your credit card to order a bus ticket, and sure I'll pay you back in cash. Somehow, he went for it. And I was on my merry way. Slowly. Traffic in England, in a word, sucks. Coaches in England, in a word, suck. It's cold outside but toasting in the bus, figure that one out.
So a couple hours late and a few minor miracles cashed in, I was in ...
