... food goes around and around, and you just grab what you want. The sushi is usually served two pieces per plate, and the plates are colour coded to signify price. We later stopped at the local tea merchants house, and he attempted to get us all drunk on cherry whiskey made in the Fukushima region of Japan, and sake made by the local high school kids. It was a very fun night.
We have a couple days in Tokyo to recuperate, next stop, South Korea!

Training!!
... the sea and hitting Hokkaido - it was such a contrast to Omiya, everything was white. Landing in New Chitose airport was cool, there was a snowstorm heading towards the airport as we landed but luckily we missed it.
So there you go, a brief overview of my training weeks, 11th - 24th January! I will hopefully update a proper detailed post about the last 4 days of experiences in SNOWY Sapporo. I'll make this more detailed soon - at least I posted something, right??

Went to meet my host mothers sister for lunch at a restaurant in Mito today where they do sumo-style food. So big massive pot filled with everything. Kasama Chrysanthemum Festival

After visiting the shrine and chrysanthemum festival, we drove up to "Craft Hills Kasama". There’s a beautiful park with amazing sculptures. We especially enjoy the “Forest of Magician Clay” with life-sized fanciful sculptures to engage kids of all ages.
