... A has a bruised bum due to the turbulent ride, but at least we had a rain jacket to keep her partially dry from the incessant sea spray. Once we turned the boat in, the kind proprietor drove us all the way back to our hotel. He spends April to November renting out five boats and the rest of the year he lives in Romania, skis in Austria, and otherwise recuperates from 8 months of working 7 days a week sometimes until midnight. ... Rome to the Greek Islands of Crete, Mykonos, Santorini, then Athens and Olympia, as well as Kusadasi, Turkey where the famous ruins of Ephesus are located. Turkey is as far east as we would travel, and the farthest east Blake, Rob, and I have ever traveled. Turkey is also considered a part of the Asian continent so we can officially say we've been to 3 continents: North America, Europe, and Asia. Only 4 more to go!! ;)

... harbor area. We take a walk around the lake, which looks as if it empties into the Ionian Sea. Not sure- but I just can't get over the blue water. So blue and refreshing and hiding nothing. The fish, so many, many fish.
The shopping here in town is rather luxurious to say the least. Way, WAY too rich for our meager pocketbook. I can’t tell you how many fur stores I saw – it has to be 90 ...
