Leaving Krakow--Heading to Oslo
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, it's time to head to the Krakow airport for our 1pm flight to Oslo, stop 2 on our European adventure.
Check in and security at the airport was pretty much the same as in the US, except you don't have to take off your shoes at security in Europe. There was no passport control for leaving Poland since we were flying to another country within Europe, so no passport stamps from Poland on the way out. ...
Can`t get better than this...can it?
This is a belated entry, but our day yesterday was so full until about 11pm.
We went to City Hall and it was no small task to go through that. It had artwork that took awhile to view. The artwork that started on one wall continued onto the ceiling and then back down the other wall. Then there were tapestries that were very nice as well. Lovely!

Tag 2: Oslo und die Jugendherge
... auf's Zimmer gebracht und mich mit Tram in die Innenstadt begeben. Der erste Eindruck war leider nicht der beste. Laut, dreckig, stinkt und Baustelle an Baustelle. Nachdem ich dann aber am Hafen war und den Blick über den Oslofjord schweifen ließ, war die Stadt dann doch gar nicht so übel. Zurück in der Jugendherberge wollte ich mir was zu essen in der Küche kochen, aber eine so schlecht ausgestattete Küche hab ich ...

... had been beaten up by all of Ireland (Josh still has a black eye and a swollen jaw from Ireland along with an assortment of half healed cuts and scratches). We instantly get along with Joachim and are laughing hysterically at all of his jokes that are made even better by his Norwegian accent.
He takes us back to around where his house is and tells us that we should go check out the beach before heading back to his place for dinner. We agree, ...
Aurora Borealis!
... but not so because the sky was a flawless starry night. Then with a gentle wave there seemed to be a curtain like effect similar to fingers waving from right to left. Gasping we stood transfixed. Because the lights were not intense tonight you really had to stay still and focused. This was a moment that brought tears to the eyes. This was truly it!
Because it was late and we had a one and half hour ...
