6/7/15. Off to Denmark The car was loaded with luggage and we set off, cameras at the ready so as not to miss the big bridge on the way to Sweden! We drove out of town easily, and onto the freeway, heading towards the Oresund Bridge at 130kmh! The bridge is a motor and rail bridge, it starts on the Danish side with a four-kilometre tunnel under the …

We're in Kalmar for a few days, en route to Trelleborg where we'll get the ferry to Rostock in Germany. Kalmar has been a delightful surprise, a lovely town with it's greatest claim to fame being Kalmar Castle, which has been around in some shape or form since 1180. ... than a return visit to the glassblower, who was there now and busy making some simple pieces, we may come back again when he is doing something more complex. That and a visit on board our neighbour’ s boat – they came in late yesterday having motored for 15 hours from Västervik. It was 'Freya of Mersey’, belonging to Tony and Louise Halliwell. They keep Freya in Fehmarn too and we last spent time with them during the 2012 Rally in ...

... years has the level been other than on 'max’. This time it was on ‘min’, so something is amiss. I will check the levels daily from now on and hope that a) the gearbox is OK and b) that we actually get the opportunity to sail the remainder of the way home.

They’d enjoyed their castle visit and after lunch, we set off as a foursome to call in at the glassblower’s workshop and shop near the water tower in town and then ...
