    ... a glass baptismal font, a sculpted metal lectern and a new gold alter towards the front of the sanctuary and the original carved one still at the back underneath the enormous alter wall decorations. Along the walls there were funeral coats of arms from the Middle Ages, which had been brought from the old church.

    ... s been a beautiful still and very warm day - perfect for the beach. The water wasn't terribly cold either. Decided to drive back to the street to an Orland ice cream shop for a treat then back home via the supermarket. Ulf bought us another Swedish specialty - spicy pork balls covered in potato & flour covering that are boiled.     ... to the north and south. Called Ottenby Nature reserve it had a very interesting interpretive centre and it was good to stroll around the foreshore watching the many birds flit about. Without binoculars they were pretty hard to identify other than swans and swallows.
