I am tempted to enter the race myself (Michael). It is $520 to enter, not sure if that is per person or for a team (4 people) but I think it would be a good goal for next season, if we come back to Whistler. I wouldn't enter to win, just to take part and have fun. There is no way you would get me in one of those Lycra/spandex all in one outfits, that I would probably need to post a really competitive time.
... go out! My new solution - wear my own hat! Hahaha! My new favourite thing which I crave is Buffalo Wings! They are probably in the top 10 of my favourite food... Up there with Mango, lychee, avocado. I literally crave them every minute of every day. I wish I hadn't started this craze. And now, once again - I'm salivating and could eat a plate of them. Maybe I should compete in the Buffalo Bills wing eating competition :) I may just turn ...
... If you said the cars drive on the other (wrong) side of the road, the drivers side is on the other side and the accent, then you get 3 points! If not, do you even go here? However, few things to bring to your attention. The traffic lights flash green (sometimes) and stay a solid green on others. Haven't picked out why they flash or the reason they stay. My theory was they flash when they are about to change to orange. ...
... and drag ourselves into the cold morning air only to have completely wasted our time! This meant we had more time to explore the village until our next flat viewing at 1500.
Whistler is very nice and we saw it slowly wake up. Having come from London it was amusing to find little happens in town before 1000! We wandered up to the Upper Village to see the gondolas and chair lifts (which are of course closed at the moment as there is no snow!) then ...
... Doughnuts than Krispy Kreme (hard to believe hey). A big variety of soup and bagels are big over here, I’m guessing because of the cold weather.
Half way along the highway is the township Squamish, and we stop at the largest collection of Western Canada’s heritage railway equipment, we view a roundhouse and many heritage locomotives and railcars restored.
