BACK to the Festival – Jenny has been working very hard, at both her jobs. The new one is a lot more physical than she is used to and involves spending a lot of time outdoors so is a big change for her. Despite this Jenny is enjoying the experience and the $20/hour it pays!
I, Michael, have made time to enjoy the festival as well, enjoying Sneaky Sound System. They are an Aussie group ...
... it since. Jenny was so pleased with the contrast from her previous experience as her skiing has improved so greatly in that period that she found the run relatively easy and greatly enjoyed it.
We then took the gondola back up, skied down to the village and were enjoying 20 cent wings in the Crystal Lounge by 1445. The end of another great day of skiing and looking forward to many more.
It is a unique time to be in Whistler ...
... I've decided that the faster I ski, the higher my heart rate gets and the warmer my hands stay. So all in all it was quite a successful day. Tonight however I went and bought some new mittens designed for ice cold temperatures and I've instructed Barney to put his chemical engineering skills to good use and create me an endless supply of chemical toe warmers that I can then stick to my entire body. For lunch we had some Bloody Mary's then skied to the village and headed to the Irish Bar for some live music and mulled wine!
