We stayed at the Jasper Park Lodge - bit of a change up in accommodation. Instead of a hotel, we all had cabins in this huge wild-life park. Elk would wander up to your doorway in the evenings. Amazing. Had a 'street party' last night. Our whole row of cabins got stuck into the remnants of the duty-free grog. Bloody Aussies. Can't take us anywhere? Anyone for a picture of Booze Hounds?

... free. I literally couldn't have designed him any better myself - what a man! Not only is it bike central here, it is summer, so all day in the village there is music and workshops. I think there are people there who have been doing yoga for 4 days now. The next few days should bring lots of biking...and our summer gravity camp starts on Monday - we have dinner with them all on Sunday night - including meeting many of our biking idols who will be coaching us for the next week ...
... we got some feedback about our riding, which made us all feel a bit less nervous about the whole thing. During the second day the evaluators walked us through the rest of the beginner progression in the morning and it was time for us to start practicing our teaching in the afternoon. ... than I thought it would be... I always get a bit of stage fright, so it took me a few goes to get used to talking confidently in front of a group of people. It's also quite hard to explain exactly how to snowboard when you've been doing it for so long yourself, because it sort of comes naturally to you and you don't necessarily think about all the movements much anymore. But the coaches do a great job of walking us through everything we need to get ready for the Level 1 ...
... have saved us several trips across town to the pharmacy & the previous struggle with the crate of beer! At the start of the trail there was the option to take the lost lake trail (a flat bike run) or the Nature trail which would involve more trekking over uneven ground deeper in the alpine forest.
