... in McDonald's and they said they need to keep a "tab" on me. We wait for them an hour at a time for the bus, so they can wait 10 minutes for fries. :) It has been a battle at times spreading our wings. The Chinese rightfully so very responsible for our safety, but are very overprotective, especially of children. Even though they do not use the phrase, "I love you," they show their love ...

The father and uncle were very respectful, they would not smoke or drink while I was in their home since I do not indulge. I knocked on doors this morning at around 7:15 am to do Taichi; Sam and Rodrigo were game. We met up with about 12 other students from another group. Our Chinese Taichi Instructor did not show up, so I decided to teach the kids some basic taichi. It was a little nerve wracking since we drew a big audience, but the kids did fine.

The kids are in Chinese class all day today, about 5 hours. They will be preparing for a YCT (Youth Chinese ...

Today was a big day with a lot to do and see. The kids did not have Chinese class today. Instead, they visited the Cultural Center here on Shandong University campus.

After a brief introduction to Confucius and Chinese culture, we were taken in groups to different rooms on the 24th floor. Each room had different activities that taught us more about the culture. The first station was the tea ceremony. The ...
