    ... did my laundry here. I resupply here. I reacquainted with other hikers I know that I haven't seen for a while. They said that i look like i lost more weight.     ... is that the water sources are getting more far apart. Leaving Sierra City, the PCTA.org has a water report for the next 500 miles. Gotta be water conscious again like in the desert. The trail was less crowded today and I was happy about that. The July 4th crowd vanished or was perhaps hung over. Not many PCTers either. They were probably hungover too or in food coma from the July 4th parties. Many PCTers made it a point to be in town to party. I was done by 7pm ...

    ... and after almost a month of not using my arms, they were pretty bloody sore after the first few days! It's really rewarding work though and after each day of labour (8am-4pm) we all head off to a nearby lake and go for a swim. This 9 days is volunteer work, but it is all expenses paid which has been amazing for my budget.

    ... I've been busy reading Henry Thoreau's Walden which I'm loving, and Moby Dick for some fun. Led Zeppelin's discography is also going down a treat. Having an incredibly fun time filled with saloons, hippies, pine trees and mountain men.
