After visiting the shrine I made my way back across the Dee and along the riverfront to Grosvenor Park, which is laid out in the Victorian style, and is quite pleasant to walk around. One downside to going in winter is that a lot of the cafes and such are closed, but I was able to get a drink and a muffin at the restaurant, which was a nice break from walking around.

Today sees us leaving Witton Gilbert with Passports! Vicky took us to Durham Station and then we caught the train and bus to Manchester Airport! The whole journey went very smoothly, with the exception of lugging large cases up and down stairs at York but hey ho! Very early in Airport - 1hr before gate opened.
