    ... century English paintings, and some amazing Wedgwood and Chinese ceramics, we had a look at the church and a walk through the gardens, the roses still blooming - and even scented! And then of course a sit down and drink at the pub. We still had time for a last walk along the cycle track, and a last delicious dinner with Omnia. And even caught a new New Tricks episode!! Now off to bed and ready for new adventure ...

    ... off to traffic. Wouldn’t be a problem except that our hotel is on the docks! As everyone knows, Sat Nav doesn’t deal too well with diversions so we spent the first 20 minutes being told "Turn back…..turn back!". Eventually we got on to the motorway and made it to the studios quick quickly.

    After 25+ years of filming on this set they have now built a new set a couple of miles away; the last episode was filmed here ...

    ... you belong to The Caravan Club, then these are private locations (usually farms) where there is room for 5 caravans to set up. Sometimes they have power but they all generally have fresh water as well as the facility to dump grey water and empty the toilet. Whilst in Plymouth, we visited the Mayflower Steps and discovered that they were also the starting point for the colonisation of New Zealand in 1839.

    I had no concept of what to expect in Liverpool . Thought it would look industrial. However, I was pleasantly surprised . I found it a lovely vibrant city. Clean. Friendly. Great atmosphere. I was immediately caught up in the magic of "The Beatles"... All over again!! In fact, we all were & the smiles lever left our faces the whole time we were there.
