Stayed over in Charlotte last night. It was our first experience with AirBNB and it went well. Jonathan and his partner were very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. I kept seeing to sad eyes of the attendant who continually tried to calm down my mortal enemy. Somehow all the other attendants figured out how to be too far away ...
I'm sitting in the Charlotte airport on my 8 hour layover, drinking a cold beer and reflecting on the last 10 years. This trip is far and beyond anything I've ever done before, and it is really exciting. Especially since I still don't have half of it planned yet!
I'm going to keep my eyes, mind, and heart open and have a great time!
... and with pride. Nice to see!!! Then came the race. It wasn't too exciting, but it had a surprise ending with Carl Edwards winning because he didn't have to make a pit stop for fuel, Biffle - second and Earnhardt - third. Next came the walk back to camp---talk about a crowd!!!
So ends our -TEN DAYS OF THUNDER with a few extra days thrown in the mix. Great time, a once in a lifetime for us! Loved sharing it with Kitty and Bobby-hard for us to hang with ...
... lady is a demonstrator. She had some nice things, but I've got enough to do so I passed. There was some afternoon entertainment by a Karaoke guy. He apparently is a member of Passport America since there wasn't very many people there to listen to him.
Dinner tonight was Papa John's Pizza, but by the time we were eating, it was getting cold. Oh well, it was the fellowship anyway. They gave out a lot of door prizes, we didn't ...
