Feeling worst for wear this morning. The $5 fish-bowls were really paying a toll. Slumped out of bed, rolling into a diner. Feasted on bacon and eggs, whilst reminiscing of last night, looking at all the funny photos. Eventually left New Orleans, feeling a bit sad, a great city, keen to come back for Mardi Gras! ... at $100 per night. Cable and WiFi additional charge. Not worth it. Beach was nice - but living where we do, we see a lot of beaches. Typical surrounding area of T-shirt and tattoo places, and restaurants. Much better place to spend some time than the Big Oak!
Not a lot to write in this entry. Our hotel was not the grandest facility we have been in but we were on the beach and listening to those waves crash was so nice.
We were straight into the water after dropping our bags. It was so warm and such a great feeling!
