    ... winning! Then we took a short ten-mile bike ride out into the country side. Saw a sign for Whistler Mounds so we checked it out. The smallest Indian mounds we've ever seen. Wonder how they were even discovered. We also came across the Ice Age trail but it wasn't open to bikes. Now we are interested in exploring this on another trip north.

The two are connected via the Mackinac Bridge that goes over the Straits of Mackinac with Lake Michigan to the West and Lake Huron to the East.     ... the smoothest pre-departure eve we've ever had. Got a little sad having to say all my goodbyes but I think the time will fly by. Pegster hooked me up with some fresh freezer candy which I have all packed up for my flight, just like she told me to do AND we planned a birthday reunion dinner at anchor bay to celebrate our birthdays when I return. Can't wait to get out of this freezing weather and back to paradise tomorrow.. you're only a day away!!!! ...
