I'm not sure what to think of this gainesville show. We had a small yet solid audience. Half of them were artists my brother knows and friends of ours, then there were a couple people who actually read about the show in the paper, and the rest of the audience was a series of rotating mumbling homeless people.
Whoever said Gainesville doesn't support theatre is crazy. We got plenty of support ...

Sherl Crow's singing about leaving Las Vegas on the radio. She's a couple days late but I can dig it.
Gna go to the sushi place and then the beer place with matt and ashley tonight. It should be swell.
We're about 20 minutes away.
Matt's already mixing the drinks.
Here we go again.
If anyone is interested in looking at ALL of the photos from this trip, I managed to get them all to upload to my SmugMug site. I have the best luck with that provider. There are only 817 to plow through. Good luck ...
Gainesville, Florida, United States leonardgrill... ft below was pretty intense. The pressure of the water was not as intense as I thought it would be, but that is a good thing. I didn't take my camera down on this dive mostly because I did not want to go that far with it turned off. The second dive we had an Easter Egg hunt, from which I won a scuba shirt from my universities scuba department [with an old date, 2006, and all!]. This time around I took my ...

Williston, Florida, United States jeremystravels... assist breathing. We all passed all of these without a hitch and got to continue on. Most people never fail, anyway, but it is just a formality to get your cert card.
After a long day of diving and a cookout we went back to our motel to do the only two things there were to do in Williston aside from diving, eat Subway, and drink. I'd say it was a pretty good way to end the night with some new friends.
It's really starting to cool off, but still much better than at home, where it is in the single digits. The local office sent me a goodie basket...wine, cheese, crackers, cookies, fruit. It was so nice of them to do that. They really know how to make a person feel special. Walked to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Last chance for a while to enjoy wearing a light jacket outside.
Gainesville, Florida, United States fairOk, Florida takes a lot longer to get to than we thought! It doesn't help if you go to bed late, oversleep, take a detour to Spruce Pine, and stop every hour. I wish that we had something cool to say about our trip so far, but basically, we just drove forever. The hotel is ok, but has a really really ****** bed and an exposed light fixture above the shower. Mike the engineer is going crazy! There's also rain and tornado watches. I hope the trip gets better from here!
Starke, Florida, United States beckymikeI arrived back in Gainesville at 3:15 pm. The total miles drive was 7738. That does not include the cruise miles which must be a few thousand more. This was a great trip. People that fly miss the thrill of seeing and experiencing the entire country ...
Gainesville, Florida, United States leonardgrill... As always, the simplest m*ments are the *nes that end up meaning the m*st t* me. Sitting und** the carnival lights with g**d friends, watching tw* drunk men in bikini tights stumble ar*und as we ate funnel cake and hurled je**s at them. That's a damn fine way t* spend a night. At the end *f the evening, the kid went h*me with an aut*graph; we went h*me with smiles that lasted f*r days. And Steve Keirn? Well, that night, *l' Steve went h*me with the NWA W*rld Heavyweight Title Belt.
