The goal of visiting Omaha was going to the supposed best zoo in the world. We arrived there at 10:30am and left at 4:15pm, shortly before they closed at 5pm. It's great having the GPS to navigate us around, and we had no issues getting there or back to the hotel. Firstly I think the zoo could be in the running for the best in the world, once their extensive construction is complete. There was a lot of construction, which really distracted from the experience. So, we did a quick search of the area using our favourite RV social site, RVillage, and found the Horseshoe Casino RV Park just down the road. It was really just a parking lot ...
Dawn and I lived in Papillion for several years. So it was a homecoming for us when friends in Papillion put on an event for my campaign at the Liberty Social Hall. Many thanks to Mayor Black of Papillion, Mayor Kindig of LaVista, Steve Zey, and many others who co-hosted and helped organize this fun and encouraging event. The turnabout was just great, despite icy streets, and we really appreciate the smiles and support from the "hometown ...
