      Day 11 began after a much needed good nights rest at the Fairfield Inn. We arrived the night before at nearly midnight! So good sleep was definitely needed. Our stay at the Fairfield included a breakfast, and we took full advantage! Cereal (there was some that were a bit like Lucky Charms, which made Dev happy), juices, bagels, eggs, the whole lot.       ... was a little noisy! We decided to leave a little earlier than originally intended because of this. We popped into Walmart and bought some pre made cocktails called buzzballz - 15%!!       ... on the track. Drivers can only do a 12 hr shift and then have to change over so five minutes before the next town the crew, from the freight train, needed to change. Amtrak is great - relaxing and always plenty to see. Rolling countryside with heaps of corn as far as the eye can see. (It's coming Trevor!)       ... that they have closed a portion of Lake Tahoe. Imagine how large the fire must be to close a recreation area that is 4 or 5 hours away. There is some wildfires by the Redwoods. It is also a problem with the 5th wheel being so large. Hauling 15,000 ton up a steep grade on a mountain is no fun and having it push you down the other side is downright scary!
