... of the day was my sisters query "Why are we not seeing more potato fields? I thought Idaho was famous for its potato production?"
We were in Iowa.
This was just a 2 night stopover in Omaha. We spent the day buying Christmas presents for Julie, her family, and her extended family who we would be spending our first White Christmas with. After travelling for 6 months without being able to but anything a little retail therapy was quite fun. Hours were spent finding just the right gifts for each person. We stayed in Iowa at a nice little Bed and Breakfast owned by John and Carol. They only have two rooms to rent but they have a fabulous view of the river valley. It was very hot and muggy.
