Sleepy time. Rough driving late at night through Galena; very hilly and dark, but we made it to the hotel. Cedar Falls had an amazing turnout. 1/8th mile racing - not so great. Oh well, everyone had fun. Amy
We booked the Bahia Mar Resort in Ft Lauderdale for Jan 21. Love the area, makes for a perfect precruise stay.
The morning of our cruise we have arranged for transportation from the Bahia to the port of Miami using SAS.
Next up- researching ports and planning our time ashore,
Thankfully, our jump to Hillcrest was pretty short…we kept all the windows closed and blasted the a/c and managed to keep the temperature down considerably in the RV while driving. We arrived at the church where we were parking (the church grounds is where the circus is setting up) and met up with our contact, David. David was our kind of guy…he had the same sense of humor and he lives on a farm with chickens, goats, dogs, and cats, so we had ...
... a local grocery store and had great reception at both places. I had the chance to clean the RV, get some phone calls taken care of, and rearrange a few cupboards for easier access to our groceries. The temperature today was in the mid-nineties and as soon as you walk outdoors, you just instantly melt into the pavement…it’s so humid and the sun is relentless, so I definitely didn’t mind staying in the a/c!
