What a miserable place!
It's hot as hell, the water in the pool looks like someone poured milk into it, and there is nothing to do in the area.
This is our own fault. We completely spaced about the holiday weekend and this was the ONLY place we could find available anywhere near where we want to go next.

It was incredible to be grubby travellers bouncing along in our oversized kitchen appliance camping at Walmart and then to be amongst a family with home cooked meals in woodland lake paradise. ... where we will stay overnight tonight at the Hampton Inn. We are currently in Latta, South Carolina for a rest stop and for the bus to refuel. Estimated arrival time is now after 10:00 p.m. with a 7:00 a.m. departure in the morning.
we just arrived at the hotel and have checked into our room. Relaxing with our feet up as they are quite swollen from eight straight days of walking and a fourteen hour drive today.
