    While listening to my most favorite song at the moment (Turtle, by Alana Davis), I've realized my trip has BEGUN!!!! It wasn't real until now. I'm sitting at my seat on my way to JFK airport, waiting for my dinner, and I don't really have much to say except that my excitement is finally here. No worrying, no doubting, just excitement. That's all for now. Sorry if you found this post boring, but sometimes you just gotta gloat. Love you ...

    Today is my last day of work. Tomorrow the madness begins. We have to clear out our apartment by Saturday and hit the road for Springfield on Sunday Morning.

    Tim's brother Austin is taking Kiley. I think they'll make a good pair.

    So much to do, so little time.

    We'll be in Missouri and Kansas ...

    ... for different classes so I will be with most of the students that are going on the trip. I've met a few girls that are going on the trip and we will be traveling, and hopefully rooming, together. It makes me feel better knowing that I have people to travel with, because I have never traveled internationally by myself before.

    I've uploaded a few pictures of some of the things I will see and the beautiful house we will be living in!


    New Tires and Gear for Alaska

    ... out and my Hilleberg tent for the first time to see what it would be like setting it up. I think Hunter and the cats had more fun in the tent than i did. My folding REI camping chair was a big hit with Jan and Hunter too. I got everything stowed and after couple of beers, it was time to go to bed. Before I hit the hay, I checked my e-mail and I had received a note from Billie in Fairbanks confirming there was room for me in July.
