I left Aiken on the 9th and spent the night in Atlanta. My flight from Atlanta to Chicago was uneventful. We are still in McCormick. Our actual trip starts on Friday, August 28. I am now in practice mode. I hope you will enjoy our trip to Denmark, Noway, Sweden, and Iceland.

We are now trying to decide what we need to take and what we can leave at home. When we went to Asia, we were thinking hot weather. We think it will be quite cool in Scandinavia.

When traveling with 3 kids under 10 you start preparing months in advance! We have packed each person their own duffle bag, packed an extra bag for dirty laundry, and a carload of snacks and drinks that are corn free and fun. ... time to chill out we went out to find a spot for supper. We discovered the Augusta Mall nearby and had a deli dinner at McAllister's Deli. We then checked out the Mall which was very upscale. ... Cotton plants that nornally are about 4 feet tall were only about 2 feet.

Aiken is a bigger version of Elora - a touristy town with lots of interesting little nooks and crannies. The roads in town are wide with overhanging branches. Must be pretty in the Spring as there are lots of magnolia trees and beautiful historic mansions. Good coffee shops and lots of antique shops. Quite the history here.
