I'm living in Wilmington, NC currently. My boyfriend and I decided to go to Myrtle Beach since it was raining all day in Wilmington. We headed to North myrtle, about an hour and 10 min from Wilmington, and we went to barefoot landing. We walked around for about an hour then decided to do something else. We went to broadway at the beach and went to helicopter ...

Our true plan was to anchor somewhere along the Wacamaw River up one of the Cypress lined Creeks. Gary spent hours researching and we had up to 7 possible stops. But because of my work we needed good cell service; and after trying all 7 we knew we could not stay in this area.

No complaints. Nice southern town; good food; and we made some friends.

We loved this anchorage. Under-rated in the guide books. we swam; went ashore
and have great sunset and sunrise moments. This will be our last night in North Carolina, tomorrow we start our tour of South Carolina.

He has completed Einsteins theory of relativity and written a doctorate on the matter and that he hoped to earn a Nobel prize for one day. They stuff he was talking about was not made up rubbish, perhaps a bit far fetched to some, but ...

... and our first NC boating experience.

Southport, NC Freedom Club doesn't allow fishing or dogs on their deck boats so we left the pups at home. Our further disappointment was that there were no navigational charts available so we were sent out in unfamiliar waters with an outgoing tide. We explored the Intercoastal a bit but just didn't feel comfortable venturing into other bays or rivers without a chart, so we cut our time and trip short today. It was nice to ...
