... But we finally made it to Navy Pier. Navy Pier was again under construction like it was back in 2010. I don't believe we ever get to see this place at its best. We ate dinner at Margaritaville which was cheaper than our lunch. Go figure! We walked to the end of the pier and back. It was a beautiful night to just walk and take in the fresh air. From Navy Pier we walked the six blocks back to our hotel where we took the kids to the 27th floor to swim. We came back and called it the ...

We stopped by the Watertower, one of the few buildings that didn’t burn down in that area, during the huge fire that raged over Chicago in 1871. Now it has a cute little ...

... to Lake Michigan and trying to control the fire by using buckets of water from there (lol) , not helping the situation was the fact that the majority of the buildings were built by wood so fire would have a pretty bad effect on them... and then when the fire reached the fire dept one of the only buildings made of stone...the roof was still made of wood so when that caught fire there was no hope and the fire dept was burnt aswell! The whole of Chicago was burnt to a crisp and the city ...

... and I let out our inner child going on one of the rides. I have never seen Blake so happy haha we both felt extremely dizzy afterwards.
After wandering to the end of thr pier and spending some time in the beer garden we walked back up to get an icecream and find a good spot to watch the fireworks. They started at 10.15 and went for about 10-15minutes. They were awesome!
