We drove on to Chimney Rock and took the elevator up 26 floors inside the adjacent mountain. It had been closed for service but had just opened again 3 days ago. It is majestic and lovely to stand on top and see the views. The Daniel Day Lewis remake of Last of the Mohicans was filmed here and we could see Lake Lure below where Dirty Dancing was made. To our surprise served lunch. Not sure why surprised it was listed on our itinerary. The big challenge will it be chicken or pasta. I really don’t think either is the correct answer but find the pasta usually looks edible and often has some liquid as compared to dry chicken surprise. Our great trip to Kentucky and Ohio to see Wade's mom, sister and cousins. Had an amazing time hanging with Wade's cousins and seeing their families - not to mention seeing our beautiful nieces in Ohio.
